About AYEM Foundation
AYEM Foundation is a non-profit organisation established in 2021 in honour of the late Mr. Ayang Ekpor Obeten (1945–2007). The foundation is dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and young people by unlocking their potential through football and other inherent skills in them. Our mission is to identify and develop raw football talent, providing structured guidance, opportunities, and essential resources that enable young people to grow both on and off the pitch above all giving a slight joyful youth experience through access to training, mentorship, and sports equipment, we aim to foster discipline, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose.
By investing in their skills and personal development, AYEM Foundation seeks to inspire, empower, and uplift the next generation, creating meaningful opportunities and delivering a positive, lasting impact within our communities.

AYEM Foundation was born from a deeply personal place, a desire to immortalise the life and legacy of our beloved father, Mr. Ayang Ekpor.
Our father was a man defined by his love for humanity. He believed strongly in kindness, service, integrity, and the responsibility we all share to uplift others, especially the vulnerable. These values were not merely spoken by him; they were lived daily and carefully instilled in us as his children.
The creation of AYEM Foundation is our way of ensuring that his compassion continues to touch lives beyond his years. Through this foundation, we seek to transform love into action, values into impact, and memories into meaningful change. Every initiative we undertake is guided by the virtues he embodied - empathy, selflessness, dignity, and hope.

To build a future where every child, regardless of his background, has the opportunity to unlock his potential and achieve success through the transformative power of football and skill acquisition.
Our Mission
- Identifying Talent: We strive to scout and recognise budding football talent in underprivileged communities, schools, and local clubs, focusing on children who may not have access to traditional pathways.
- Development through Football: Although we intend to incorporate other skill acquisition programmes, we are currently utilizing football as a tool for character development, community bonding, teamwork, and discipline, we aim to instil essential life skills that extend beyond the football field.
- Financial Support: Through prizes and awards, we provide financial assistance for education, training, and equipment, ensuring that talented youngsters have the resources needed to pursue their dreams in football while maintaining a balance with their education.
- Mentorship Programs: Our foundation emphasizes the importance of discipline, mentorship, pairing talented individuals with experienced coaches, former players, and mentors who guide them through their football journey and personal development.
- Community Engagement: AYEM Foundation actively engages with communities to foster a sense of unity, pride, and support for the children and youths. We organize events, tournaments, and outreach programmes to promote the benefits of sports in personal growth.
